I have been a Third Man's Vault Packages collector for many years now (started at #3). Always was a big fan of Mr. Jack White creativity. But, I now have to downsize my collection. As most packages that I'll be selling in the near future, this set is unplayed (Mint), sleeve (VG++). I am the original owner of all these Vault packages.
In depth description of what's included:
Third Man records Vault package #5. Includes The 12" TMR040 Dead Weather Sea of Cowards Live , a 7" TMR041, and DVD TMR043 of the performance.
With our first year of Vault service behind us we’re full-steam ahead with year two and we’re blasting out of the gate with 100% Dead Weather madness. The LP is the Dead Weather playing Sea of Cowards in its entirety and in order as recorded at Third Man Records on May 3rd, 2010. While we all love the bombast of Sea of Cowards there’s just something special about how these songs are pulled off live. Once you hear it you will appreciate the songs in an entirely different way. And it’s pressed on split-color black-and-blue vinyl! The 7” this quarter is the encore of that May 3rd live show, trippy reinterpretations of “Hang You From the Heavens” and “I Cut Like a Buffalo” these might be the Dead Weather’s two most recognizable songs and to hear ‘em like this you might not even recognize them. Killer! And the final item for this package is a DVD of the complete Dead Weather live performance at Third Man Records from May 3rd. Enjoy the ability to scrutinize every drop of sweat, to slo-mo every odd facial expression, to revel in the true black of LJ’s hair…over and over and over again in the finest of digital video disc technology that doesn’t rhyme with the phrase “goo day”. Each component of this package comes housed in an impressive reflective mirror-board jacket and comprises the first (only?) Vault mailing where each piece corresponds to the other.
