Description
This LP is becoming very rare now.
It's on the UK Deram label and is by an American prog psych band called Touch. It's entitled 'This Is Touch' and was released in 1969. The music is very experimental and features a good deal of progressive and psychedelic influences.
It's a stereo recording and the catalogue number is SML 1033.
OUTER SLEEVE - The gatefold sleeve is laminated on the outside and is in fine condition with some minor wear, ring wear and creasing on front and back. There is some delamination on the front cover. The edges and spine are in fine condition but do show some minor wear. The wording along the spine is 100% readable. It states on the front bottom right hand corner - 'SPECTACULAR COLOUR POSTER ENCLOSED'. The sleeve was printed by Interpak, as I understand it. It states on the top rear right hand corner of the sleeve - 'SML 1033 - STEREO (ALSO PLAYABLE MONO)'. It states on the bottom centre of the rear sleeve - 'Regd. Trade Mark DERAM RECORDS, THE DECCA RECORD COMPANY LIMITED, DECCA HOUSE, 9, ALBERT EMBANKMENT, LONDON, S.E. 1 - C - The Decca Record Company Limited, London'. I've graded the sleeve VG++.
POSTER - This is a fold out type and is in superb condition with almost no wear and no damage. It is 600mm x 600 mm (24 inches x 24 inches). I've graded it as Ex+.
INNER BAG - Decca company blue and white polythene lined sleeve. It's in Ex- condition.
RECORD - The record is in fine condition. It has been played a lot. There are some definite marks on each side. It plays through well on both sides with some definite surface noise which is audible during quiet passages and in between tracks and some pops and clicks on both sides. There are no jumps on any of the tracks on either side. There is also a very slight warp on the record but this does not affect the playing quality.
LABELS - The labels are the red and white Deram type with black wording. Around the circumference of the label it states - 'All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting and copying of this record prohibited'. there are definite spindle marks on both labels. The matrix numbers are printed upside down on the labels (SAHS.1519 on side one and SAHS 1520 on side two) above the catalogue number. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - SAHS-1519-1W (stampers 2D) - side two - SAHS-1520-1W (stamper 2D). I've graded the record as VG+ which I believe is very fair.
I try to grade everything very conservatively and I believe that the winner of this auction will not be disappointed. I guarantee everything I sell. It will be difficult to find this record again.
THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS ITEM.
