Description
Offered in this lot is a 3 disc 78 rpm set of studio lacquers of a show broadcast on WNJR radio on October 21, 1949 from West Orange, NJ on the life of inventor THOMAS ALVA EDISON. The broadcast features interviews with, among others, MARY PICKFORD and BUDDY RODGERS and the recorded voice of MR. EDISON. Parts three and seven are missing from this otherwise complete set of transcription discs. The discs are in amazing condition with no cracks, chips, needle digs, heavy scratches or heavy surface wear. There are just the lightest of marks to the playing surface. The original adhesive, individually typed, labels are immaculate except for parts 1 & 2 which are missing. No doubt a unique item in great condition. This may very well be "one of a kind". PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CLOSELY: DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED MY OFFICIAL ebay INVOICE. Postage expense will be quoted on my official winning bidder ebay invoice following the close of the auction and will always be based USPS Media Mail (including Delivery Confirmation and full-value insurance) for domestic US shipments and USPS Air Parcel Post (including full-value insurance) for ALL foreign shipments. NO exceptions will be entertained in regard to shipping method. US$5.00 will be added to the winning bid to cover handling and proper packing expense. Unfortunately due to a recent high incidence in non-communicative, non-responsive and, ultimately, non-paying winning bidders payment must be made via PayPal in US Dollars (US$) and recieved within 7 days from the close of the auction. Multiple lot wins will, of course, be melded together to mitigate packing and postage/insurance expense for the winning bidder. However, there will be no "holds" granted against possible future ebay auction winnings. All records are sold on an "as is" basis with no returns accepted. Please take a look at my other classical-vocal 78 rpm ebay lots: Thanks for looking! calnipper.
