Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my pop and progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare 1st French pressing of Thomas F. Browne – Wednesday’s Child on the SWIRL VERTIGO label, cat. no. 6325 250.
The record is in EX minus condition, there are a couple non sounding hairlines only. The labels are in EX condition, there are only a few spindle marks.
The cover is VG++ condition, there is a bottom split of approx. 8 centimetres, there is some very slight wear on the opening edge on the back and there is a name and purchase date written in small biro on the inside of the gatefold. Besides mentioned defects, this cover looks great.
This is a very rare and hard to find French pressing of Thomas F. Browne’s Wednesday’s Child album. As we all know, the U.K. version is practically impossible to find and U.S. copies are pressed on very flimsy vinyl. This French pressing sounds just as good as the U.K. copy (I recently bought one, so I had comparing material, and that is the reason why I’m selling this French copy) and is a great alternative until a U.K. copy comes along. But believe me, that can take a while. So this is your chance to get an affordable 1st pressing of a Swirl Vertigo record, a real must have for all singer / songwriter fans or Swirl Vertigo collectors!
