THREE NORMAN BROOKS POP SINGLES from the 1950s Norman Brooks was born in Montreal in 1928. His voice was as close to that of Al Jolson as it could be without being parody. Brooks was spotted in by Zodiac Records in New York, and signed to a contract that resulted in 7 singles before the short-lived 50's NYC Zodiac label ceased to exist. These were the first three of those singles, and only the first two achieved some success, particularly in the regional sense and especially in Boston, where Brooks was a D.J. and club favourite. He also made appearances in several movies, including the original "Oceans Eleven" and "The Best Things In Life Are Free", as well as many guest spots on 50's television in both the U.S.A. and Canada. Brooks died in 2006. These three 45s are the Canadian releases. They are on APEX Records,as licensed from ZODIAC in the U.S.A. All are in LIKE NEW condition.
