Description
This is the "THREE FRIENDS" 1972 UK LP by GENTLE GIANT - the 3rd LP released by GENTLE GIANT.
Gentle Giant were a very inventive and musically gifted band, capable of beautiful melodic music but also superb complex riff rock music.
The LP still sounds great today, and showcases both sides of their music to perfection.
The LP was bought on its release in 1972, and is a 1st pressing.
The vinyl is on the highly collectable VERTIGO label, number 6360070, and has the following 1st press matrix numbers:
- Side 1: 1 6360070 1Y#2 420 1 1 2
- Side 2: 1 6360070 2Y#2 420 1 1 5

Record is MINT-, the vinyl is unmarked, nice black sheen, with just a couple of spindle marks visable in stronglight only, it does not look like a 40-year old record.
The LP plays superbly, and sounds like a new record, with no pops or bangs, and is very quiet between tracks.
The cover is VG+, and is a gatefold with "VO PRICE CODE" and was not laminated, but is in good shape.
The inside of the gatefold is undamaged and in excellent condition.
There is just very minimal partial ringwear on the back cover
There is some slight wear on the corners and slight storage fading on the edges.
The spine is intact with just small spots of wear.
The record sleeve is the original VERTIGO swirl, with just some discolouring of the white background on the edges only, due to its age.

The record will be packed in a stiff package specifically designed for sending vinyl throught the post, with added protection on the corners
