☆ (A single, original b&w "walkerprint" postcard, dedicated and signed by PAUL McCARTNEY, sold at BONHAMS in 2020 for £1,785.00....!!) ☆
● I'm still amazed to have my WALKER surname printed on so many multi-thousands of great publicity photos over the years but only a few pics are now personally signed by me.!! (DW) ●
These are ALL professional photographic postcard (approx.6"x4") copies of archive items, printed in Germany, on FUJIFILM Premium Gloss, High Grade 300gsm thick stock (with a small white border) and including:-
☆ 16 classic b&w or colour "walkerprint" logo photo items, hand signed and dated by me, David Walker (the founder in 1967 at only 21...!), on the back of each photo and in permanent black pen. N.B. Some of these items may have been originally signed by the artist/s.
☆ 21 b&w or full colour classic archive item photos of THROBBING GRISTLE .
☆ 15 various "provenance" archival items about the founding and brief history of the "walkerprint" company formed in 1967 at 44 Maple Street, London W.1. (and including a copy of my very first price list, production labels, poster mags, press ads, my printer's certificate etc..!).
IN TOTAL:- FIFTY TWO ITEMS
N.B. These photos may vary but are all approximately postcard size.
I am David Walker, the founder of the Walker Publicity Printing Company formed back in London W.1. in 1967. For over 30 years this company produced hundreds of thousands of pieces of printed publicity material for music artists, fashion models, celebs, photographers, rock bands, sports stars...et al...and EVERY single item had a "walkerprint" logo (and a London phone number) positioned somewhere on it...
I have researched the internet to find out just how many of these famous actors, musicians,TV personalities etc. such as...Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Kylie Minogue, Sting, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Billy Connolly, The Who, Queen, Boy George, Richard Branson, Iron Maiden, George Michael, Phil Collins, Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin, Les Dawson, Kiss, Marc Bolan, Thin Lizzie, Generation X, Britt Ekland, Judy Garland, Siouxsie Sioux, Throbbing Gristle, Black Sabbath, the Eastenders cast, Elaine Page and Andrew Lloyd Webber (to name but a few..!) have personally signed one or more of these "walkerprint" photos over the years....and just how valuable some of them have now become.....!!
I do hope you enjoy this fine collection and, bere in mind, it takes time to pull everything together and my future output is bound to be fairly limited as I am retired with somewhat dodgy eyesight. However, I am certain this will be a sound investment for the future....... for YOU..!!
☆ These items will all be sent securely by First Class post in a card protected and padded manilla envelope. ☆
(PLEASE NOTE....there are no wet pen signatures on these photos, obviously, except for mine as detailed above)
