Description
Released by Fetish Records in 1981, this box set collects together reissues of Throbbing Gristle's four classic albums originally released on Industrial Records - Second Annual Report, D.O.A. Third and Final Report, 20 Jazz Funk Greats, Heathen Earth, and adds the live LP Mission of Dead Souls. All the IR albums are repackaged in different covers to the original releases - the covers here are black and white and the graphics changed in various ways, and the backs are completely changed to match up with MODS. Also the entirety of Second Annual Report now plays backwards in this version. There is no booklet or badge included in this set.
This particular box came to me from Sleazy's (Peter Christopherson's) personal archive when it was being dispersed here and elsewhere, and has staining to the bottom edge and on the sides (see pictures included) of the box. These stains were present when I received the box, and considering the source it's probably best not to wonder too much what they are...
There is seam split to the top edge of Second Annual Report, all covers are otherwise near mint, and all vinyl is in pristine near mint/mint condition - very beautiful indeed. The box has some shelfwear, but is otherwise sound.
