This is so good I had difficulties believing it when I first played it and now it’s time to let it go. Amazingly great tunes that will simply make you go wild with its’ great flute playing, cool beat and superb piano - as good as some of the better stuff on Companionship. I can’t stop raving about this EP. Released on a tiny budget label maintly for "hotel records" etc. in 1965, this is something I have/had never seen, nor heard of before (they are also known for pressing small “runs”/quantity of their releases, hence the dificulty to find any of the releases in decent shape today).
Tremendous playing on all tracks. These are fantastic musicians with a very cool feel as to how the tracks they play should be played. Easily as good as many of the big euro titles by Sahib, Woode, McNair and many more – this is why I mantion Sahib in the title. He does not play anywhere on the EP. Listen to them and enjoy. I don’t think you’ll see another copy in the “near” future. Tino was a Mexican drummer who was probably living here in Spain during tyhe 60’s. Fantastic loud and raw/gritty recording. Easily one of the biggest euro gems, jazz wise, I have ver come across.
