Description

Here is a terrific collector's item, especially for fans of the work of Alfred Hitchcock. This is an obscure promotional single by Tippi Hedren, star of two classic Hitchcock films, The Birds (1963) and Marnie (1964). The single is "If You Were a Carpenter" b/w "My Life Without You" (Challenge 59345). Tippi Hedren is also the mother of actress Melanie Griffith. Tippi retired early from acting, and she is now devoted to wildlife preservation.

This single was released in 1966. Both sides are produced by Michael Rubini. The B side is arranged by Mike Post, who co-wrote the B side with Rubini. Mike Post would later go on to score the soundtracks to many hit television shows.

This record is in beautiful condition. The only flaw is the song title on the A side is circled in red marker. Otherwise this single is in NM condition. The vinyl is gorgeous, and I detect only very, very minimal label wear.

Thanks for looking, and please check out my other items for more rare and beautiful 45s.
