Description
TISM (This Is Serious Mum) - Shorts.
A mega-rare item from a band where pretty much everything of theirs is hard to get hold of. TISM released the 'Jung Talent Time' single and the 'Machiavelli...' album in 1995. They toured to promote the releases and one of the merchandising items for sale was 'Jung Talent Time' shorts. For Adelaide people, the show was at the old Hindley St. Cinema building (called the 'Empire' at the time).
Shorts as band merchandise is pretty rare, as generally it is t-shirts, caps, beanies and hoodies.
This is a great item for the 'Serious' TISM collector. Can be kept and displayed, or worn - the choice is yours.
Item specifics and description:
Size: XL
Colour: Black cotton with white/mauve emblems/writing. (See front and back photos)
Description: The shorts have a pocket either side. They are elastic waist with a draw-string. The front has a large 'J.T.T.' logo on the right leg (appears as left in photo). The rear states that 'ANDY WARHOL GOT IT WRONG' (Rear of left leg). '15 MINUTES IS TOO LONG' (Rear of right leg). They are long shorts - so they will come down to approximately your knees.
Condition: Elastic is old and stretched. The draw-string is fine, so can be worn with no problems. All stitching is very good considering age. All printing on the shorts shows signs of wear but as can be seen in the photos, it is still pretty good. The black cotton shorts are also faded but again still look pretty good.
