Description
For sale is an extremely rare copy of the debut album by Titus Groan on DAWN which was released in 1970.
I have had this in my collection for some time but it is now time to sell it.
The matrix numbers are A3 B3 which refer to this album being a first pressing.
This is a very good copy but has a few minor issues.
The vinyl - Side A - as pictures show the vinyl is clean and retain a glossy finish. There are some surface marks and as the picture shows there are 2 long marks. One is extremely light and is only visual. The other is very Very so slightly felt. I have tested this side 3 times now on 2 different record systems and this side even with the marks plays fantastically. There are no skips or jumps and the sound quality is excellent - some light noise picked up in a few areas but with a clean im sure this could be improved even more.
Side B - there are some light marks to this side but again the audio is excellent with no skipping. The sound quality is great but may again be enhanced with a good clean. In all honesty if it was heard without seeing the vinyl this would be graded at EX.
Labels - pictures show that they are both clean with no marks or fading - no tears. Very bright labels.
The cover - First of all I would like to say this was how it was bought. There are no splits or tears to the edges or corners. The spine is intact and the cover shows no bending. The back has some very light wear but is incredibly good for age. Inside shows some very minor wear but is still clean and vibrant. The front shows some minor wear also. What the previous owner has done though as the picture shows has used a black marker pen to cover up any wear. There is an area in top right corner near the dawn logo which has been penned. The middle of the spine also there can be a small amount of pen seen and on the top edges of the spine. this has never bothered me as in my collection this has covered up the imperfections. Apart from this there is no major damage and considering the rarity of this record it still makes this an extremely sought after item.
I am sad to sell this, but I want someone else to now enjoy this item.
