Description
Released by Tamla Motown in 1967, cat # TMG 590; this is “It Takes Two” / “It’s Got To Be A Miracle (This Thing Called Love)” by Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston.
This is a green/white demo copy with the release date in the centre of each label. Both labels are clean. The playing surfaces have some light marks and general wear and looks no better than very good. Playing, the record sounds better than it looks and the A-side plays close to excellent, except for two low-level pops about thirty second into the track. The B-side plays very good. The record comes in a plain white sleeve.
All of these Motown singles come from the same source – an original 60’s Top Rank DJ who started in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production in the 1970’s. The vast majority of the collection is mint or unplayed, but he clearly loved his Motown as most of the 60’s and early 70’s singles are generally in very good condition, but with a few notable exceptions! For the full story on the collection, please see our “me” page.
Postage and packing for one record will be £1 UK, £1.80 Europe and £2.50 USA and the Rest of the World. For two records, the costs are still just £1 UK, £2.20 Europe and £3.20 USA and the Rest of the World.
Payment by PayPal is preferred for all customers; though I will accept cheques or postal orders for UK customers. Overseas customers must pay by Paypal unless agreed otherwise prior to auction end.
I will combine multiple auction wins to reduce postage costs, so please remember to look at my other Motown singles. This is the final Motown-only week. We are now moving onto all other soul genres so keep your eyes open!
