TOAD Hallelujah '71 Swiss Rock Bellaphon 19047 EX RARE

Bellaphon Records (Germany?), catalog number BLPS19047, the debut from the Swiss hard rock outfit Toad, Hallelujah. This group could be called the inspiration for the New Wave of Swiss Heavy Metal (Krokus, Celtic Frost, Hellhammer etc.) pretty much by default: don't think there were any other hard rock bands in Switzerland in the early '70s. So, these guys win. This is the debut LP, issued in '71, the group a power trio inna Cream stylee who added a vocalist for this release only. Solid record full of blues-rawk goodness and a strong guitar player, Vittorio Vergeat. I believe this is the German Bellaphon pressing, blue label (think the Swiss release had the same design in brown), gatefold cover. Cover is EX, barest ringwear, a crease lower right, all glue totally dried top and bottom--someone taped the bottom of the cover, then removed it and there is some residue. Vinyl also EX, fantastic, a few fine marks but barely a whisper of noise. A tremendous copy of a very rare record. Cleaned on the VPI machine. Bid with confidence. Thanks, have fun and good luck.
