Description
Available here is an original 7" demo single by Toby Twirl - Movin’ In b/w Utopia Daydream. Issued by Decca, it has the catalogue number F 12867 and "demonstration sample not for sale" printed on both sides of the label. The disc is dated 1968 but also indicates an official release date of 3.1.69.
Vinyl Condition - Very Good. The record has a few minor scratches and surface marks but having listened to both songs, I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking, with a little background crackle mainly on the B-side. However, the original centre appears to have been punched out and replaced.
Sleeve Condition - Very Good. I’m assuming that it’s the original Decca sleeve which has a certain amount of wear in the form of creasing and a smallmarkat the rear but no tears.

History - Toby Twirl was a UK five-piece close harmony group incorporating comedy. Performing, regularly around the clubs of Lancashire, the group also recorded several times at the BBC Playhouse Studios and several tracks were subsequently broadcast on the fledgling Radio 1. Movin’ In and Utopia Daydream would appear to be the band’s third and final single - undemanding on the ear and exuding all the period pop psychedelia that the band could muster.
