TOKYO BLADE Midnight Rendezvous Vinyl LP 

This is a copy of Tokyo Blade's 1984 US release titled Midnight Rendezvous. This in particular, if you notice is actually a US release that features the cover of their debut self-titled album; it’s not the Midnight Rendezvous EP. It’s the original cover of their debut, however in the upper right-hand corner it has the Midnight name on it, It’s the US issue and has a completely different track listing, than the original UK release. This LP looks to be a compilation, and I’ve looked this up on the Internet and there’s all types of information about it. There are eight tracks on this record, there’s a photo of the tunes on this album. Either way, it’s a great record, and getting harder to find; in fact, their whole catalog is hard to find on LP.

This was released on Combat Records and appears to be the very first pressing on the green label. The LP itself is in very good shape, however there are noticeable light scratches at the end of side one, but I cannot feel them with my finger and it does not affect play, possibly caused by something in the sleeve rubbing against it. The jacket is also in very good condition but it has its flaws. There is sticker residue on the upper right corner of the front as well as some damage where it was taken off. The corners have their wear and there’s some noticeable ring wire as well due to its age. There are no inner liner notes Otherwise it’s a beautiful copy. All flaws can be seen in the photos. These guys came late in the game within the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement, but are considered an important band in that genre and are still active today.
