Description

Unknown mid '60s Greenwich Village style folk singer who writes excellent songs and performs them well, if this had come out on some mid-'60s folk label I'm sure it would be regarded well. No corny stuff or folk revival traditional moves, these are reflective songs with fine finger picking style back up that works perfectly in support, he's quite evolved at getting his songs across. You can play the whole thing and not feel the urge to skip a song, the mood is consistent. You can see the titles in my pictures of the labels of the acetate. It plays quite well on all tracks except track three side one has some surface noise, otherwise the music sounds nice and clear, he is recorded quite well, just right for his style. I have no idea who he was but this came from the library of NYC's legendary progressive station WBAI, and as you can see someone put the demo acetate in an old messy Tom Rush Elektra LP sleeve. Note there is nothing particularly off the wall about the LP, it is really good in a way that fits in to the folk music scene back then, the guy had talent.
