Description
Up for auction is a very nice original copy of the Tom Waits album "Blue Valentine" originally released in the U.S. on Asylum Records (6E-162) in 1978.
-Guaranteed original pressing, not a reissue like most on eBay -Original gatefold cover -No UPC/bar code on cover -Original Deep Groove dished labels (later issues are flat labels)
Condition: The cover is in beautiful condition with very few signs of wear or handling. No ring wear, no tears or chips. Just some very minor rub on the top and bottom edges, but hardly significant. Seams are strong, intact, no splits. Corners are sharp, not bumped. Interior of gatefold is clean, no wear. Grade the cover Near Mint Minus (NM-).
The vinyl is also in excellent condition, still retains its original high gloss shine and luster. Overall it looks Near Mint, almost un-played, but it does have on very small needle drop on Side One, Track Four, which causes a few very light clicks for a few rotations, but it's not that prominent because the music overwhelms it, but it's there and I wanted to mention it. It does not skip or pop. Labels are clean, no marks around spindle holes, indicating little, if any, previous play. Play-tested, the sound quality is excellent, probably been played only once or twice previously. Grade the vinyl Excellent (EX) rather than Near Mint because of that one small flaw.
