TOM WAITS - SWORDFISHTROMBONES / RAIN DOGS & FRANKS WILD YEARS
I've played the records through and this is what I found. Swordfishtrombones plays through ok but there is intermittent surface noise throughout, only really noticeable in the quiet bits. There is a small scratch on the vinyl at the start of side 2 but only affects the very end of Frank's Wild Years with about 6 dull clicks. There is also a small click in Soldier's Things. Rain Dogs plays through better. There is the odd surface click but nothing too bad. Franks Wild Years also has some surface noise, again, not too bad, again, only really noticeable in the quiet bits, but there is an obvious small click (1 in each) in Temptation, More Than Rain and Cold Cold Ground. The condition of the sleeves is as follows: Swordfishtrombones has quite a bit of shelf wear and some ring wear. Includes an Island Records inner sleeve. There is also a bit of mottling at the bottom right hand side of the rear cover. Rain Dogs has some light ring wear but it's not in bad condition for nearly 40 years old. This comes with a printed inner sleeve containing the lyrics. Franks Wild Years is a gatefold sleeve with some minor shelf wear and ring wear. This has a plain black inner sleeve but the inside of the gatefold has the lyrics printed. I know that's quite a detailed description but I wanted to list any faults etc. Please ask if you want more information.
