TOM WAITS-SWORDFISHTROMBONES 1983 ISLAND RECORDS RADIO PROMO COPY LP W/TIMING STRIP IN A STRONG VG+ CONDITION. MOSTLY CLEAN VINYL!! Not your average Waits album but that's why it's so extraordinary. Swordfishtrombones is an album by American singer-songwriter Tom Waits, released in September 1983. It was the first album that Waits produced himself. Stylistically different from his previous LPs, the album moves away from the piano and string orchestra arrangements of the late 1970s, replacing them instead with unusual instrumentation and a somewhat more abstract songwriting approach. In 1989, SPIN magazine named this the 2nd greatest album of all time.
The record is in an easy VG+ condition with what I call a ghost scuff on side 1 that definitely does not hamper play at all, plays well throughout, excellent otherwise. The cover has the radio timing strip at the bottom front and at the top of the front is the stamped number, S 955762 with the promo explanation. The original lyric inner sleeve is intact. An awesome buy!!
