TOMMY WHITTLE ‘WAXING WITH WHITTLE’ WITH TONY KINSEY TRIO ORIGINAL 1954 10” VINYL LP
One of Britain's most highly respected mainstream saxophonists, Whittle has played with most of the U.K.'s finest, including Ronnie Scott, Ted Heath, Kenny Wheeler, and Joe Temperley. This original, Esquire, !0” complete with original, envelope design sleeve is ridiculously rare and just impossible to find. A truly, scarce and much sought after collector’s item and a very early, Esquire label release.
Sleeve Condition: The number “120” is written twice on the rear and there is a biro “Ann” on the rear flap. No other writing or marking and sleeve is in pretty good order with very little wear showing considering its age. It comes with the original, plastic inner sleeve.
Record Condition: Visually, the vinyl is Ex- with almost imperceptible handling wear which really can’t be classed as marking. There is a little surface noise but this is light, unobtrusive, at least I found it not to spoil the music in the slightest, and is not a succession of pops and clicks as most 10” albums of this age are. Overall and to be very conservative, I’m grading it as Vg++/Ex-.
