ARTIST: TONY KELLY
TITLE: BRING ME BACK
LABEL: POLYDOR (2383 - 123)
YEAR: 1972
CONDITION OF VINYL: I would rate this as VG+. It has a few light marks and some paper scuffing. There are no visible spindle marks on the label and I would guess it has only been played a handful of times. Play-tested on a Rega Planar P3, it sounds very clean.
CONDITION OF SLEEVE: Again, lovely condition. Small mark on the front, which is probably removable. Edges are neat and intact and the spine is perfectly readable.
NB - I always try to grade as conservatively as possible, so that the buyer gets a nice surprise and feels they had a good deal.
DETAILS: Rare major-label title that hardly ever turns up for auction or sale. Not mentioned in the Record Collector Guide, so tends to find its own price. Genre-wise, it touches on folk, soft-rock, pop and psych - even some country tinges. The musicians involved were: Tony Kelly (6 & 12 string acoustic guitar), Paul Millins (Keyboards), Jack Mills (Electric Guitar), Keith Evans (Bass Guitar), Cody (Congas, percussion, Harmonica), Terry Stannard (Drums & Percussion), 'The Ladies' - Claudia Lennear, Kathi MacDonald, Linda November, Helen Miles, Hilda Harris.
