If you found this you know exactly what your looking at! The only TOOL record that is not currently in print an probably never will be again on vinyl! Very limited quantity and most likely the vast majority were only given to record reps as a promo tool to launch this new band. Issued in 1996 on ZOO records when vinyl was all but considered dead by most. A true modern vinyl rarity, and of course we all know what happened to this band shortly after this vinyl release WORLDWIDE STARDOM!!! This Lp launched them into the conciousness of everyone who loves ROCK and is a masterpiece! Don't Miss Your Opportunity This Time!!! ZOO records catalogue # 61422-31145-1. Condition is VG++?VG++. The cover has some minor wear on the edges and the vinyl has some light sleeve scuffs. This record plays NEAR MINT!
I use Goldmine Standard catalogue of American Records for grading. If you are not familiar with these criteria, they are as follows: With the exception of MINT which will rarely be used and stated clearly if actually needed.
NEAR MINT: A Nearly Perfect Record implying that no record is truly perfect, even a still sealed record. May have been played a few times or with extreme care. There will be no seam splits, creases folds, cut out marks or ringwear.
The vinyl will is shiny with no visible defects, there are no spindle marks and will play without surface noise.
Very Good Plus VG+ : Near mint covers may be marred by a cutout mark or promo stamp, there may be light creasing at the corners and slight wear at vulnerable areas even a tiny bit of ringwear.
The vinyl will shown slight signs of wear including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect listening experience. There may be very light ringwear or discoloration but should be barely noticeable.
Very Good VG: Very good covers have more signs of wear such as MINOR seam splits but not overwhelming, minor writing tape or sticker will detract from the cover, ring wear especially at the top bottom and middle of the cover and might affect the entire cover to a minor degree.
The vinyl will lack most of the original gloss of a factory fresh record, groove wear is evident on sight as are light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail. The record will have surface noise and an occasional audible light scratch especially in soft passages, but the noise will not overpower the music
