RARE... Original 1973 BRITISH first pressing in textured gatefold cover on the small U.K. "JAM" label...underrated progressive edged hard melodic rockers that got buried when the 70's 'punk' scene took over....even though these guys were hailed by critics and fans, they had a top 20 hit in England, they remained relatively unknown in the States where there was little exposure to the band...This Birmingham UK band was centred around the Farmer brothers and originally known as Gift. For a while, particularly with their hit, Standing In The Road, they successfully appealed to both collector/audiences of hard rock/prog (early Wishbone Ash, Nektar) and poprock (Beatles, Badfinger) but, again, sadly the onset of punk in 1977 killed them off. Collectors will find this obscure British Lp to contain good rockin' tracks with the quality tuneful hooks that are found in the best of the genre....
