We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1972 first pressing vinyl of the underrated second album by British underground rock band Help Yourself who delivered at least four West Coast flavored hippie progressive rock albums.

Includes the hard to find & nice original custom designed double sided inner sleeve to the pressing

HELP YOURSELF were formed in 1970 near London, and initially consisted of guitarist Richard Treece, drummer Dave Charles, bassist Ken Whaley and guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Malcolm Morley. The band recorded their first studio album in 1971...and "STRANGE AFFAIR" was born in 1972 -- An excellent second album -- despite the best of Help Yourself's bluesy progressive guitars led rock that roundly kicks up the beer and sawdust circuit. The Lp opens with the hefty chimes of the title track, Strange Affair moves on through a kaleidoscope of moves and movements, ranging from the gently and certainly Beatles-ish "Deanna, Call & Scotty," and onto a clutch of songs that would not have sounded out of place on the American West Coast with "Quicksilver" stylings... The album's peak, however, has to be the nine-minute "The All Electric Fur Trapper," a lush and lovely epic that conjures images of a faintly rural-flavored Pink Floyd as it moves through a series of distinct phases that climax with a deeply fuzzy burst of JoJo Glemser guitar savagery -- wild and exciting. Accompanied by a wryly flowery essay from Sean Tyla, "The All Electric Fur Trapper" stands not only among Help Yourself's greatest achievements, but also among the highlights of the entire early-'70s British underground...
