=> NICE (plays M- clean) 1969 original first pressing vinyl gatefold pressing in thick textured gatefold cover ... the timeless mellotron drenched progressive-rock gem is the very first King Crimson....on the 1841 Broadway Ny Ny Atlantic Records label, a nice collectible first pressing!
A Special copy = contains the rare transparent King Crimson sticker on the outside of the cover ... this sticker was only issued on the original cellophane wrapper which most folks tore off making the sticker very scarce and very hard to come by
The mellotron drenched King Crimson is, after 40 years, still a thing of beauty ...from the dynamic complex crunching layers to the sweeping climactic atmospherics, the dramatics are in full bloom everywhere in this spectacular work of art ...
Almost unarguably the first, most quintessential progressive-rock album ever, Court virtually came out of nowhere, and almost single-handedly defined "prog-rock" at its infancy. Taking "heavy rock" and "experimental psychedelics" to their extremes, and making use of some of the first truly textured "atmospheres" (fuzz paranoia in Schizoid Man, dreamy surreality in Wind, etc.), Fripp & Co. put progressive-rock on the map with this flawless, in-your-face album. In addition to introducing us to Fripp's schizo-paranoid madness, you can hear how much Bruford learned from Michael Giles. Court belongs to a small pantheon of albums -- an absolutely must-have.

CONDITION: The Cover: The thick textured gatefold cover is "EX" (excellent) clean front and back cover faces= only very slight 'bump' at one bottom corner, but very small, almost nothing ...so overall nice display item!
The Vinyl: is all glossy, visual is "EX" (excellent) looks all and ALL plays CLEAN = we play graded this = Very smooth, even the intricate quite parts where King Fripp is flicking guitar notes off is very clean in those quiet parts, so hard to find like this ...nice keeper...
