This little-known lp was issued only in Argentina in 1968. The music consists of one of tenorman PAUL GONSALVES sets as a leader.
GONSALVES and trumpeter WILLIE COOK are heard featured in Argentina (during a tour by DUKE ELLINGTON ORCH) with a local rhythm section led by the fine pianist
ENRIQUE VILLEGAS & formed by ALFREDO REMUS & EDUARDO CASALLA.

Highlights of this fine mainstream swing set include a nearly ten-minute version of "Perdido," "St. Louis Blues" "Just Friends" "Blues for BA" "I can´t get started" "I cover the waterfront" etc (CHECK PICTURES FOR TRACK LISTING)

Trova label disappeared and that nowadays it is very difficult to achieve. History tells us that when Duke Ellington's orchestra visit Argentina for the first time in September 1968, was very common at that time, that the musicians after the show came to know the famous night life in Buenos Aires and its music. In one of these trips, the saxophonist Paul Gonsalvez and trumpeter Willie Cook went to listen to the pianist Enrique "Mono" Villegas were amazed by his style
There,  the owner of the Trova label, Alfredo Radoszynski, invites both musicians to record with the trio of Villegas. Both accept immediately and this is the result of this meeting. The recording is complete with Alfredo Remus on double bass and Eduardo Casalla in battery. The recording takes place within an excellent climate with alone very inspired and varied. Excellent version of "lost". This album is a unique witness of an era and a few musicians who can hardly be repeated.
