Und sie verwendet eine ganze Reihe akustischer Instrumente wie Mandoline, Ukulele, Streicher oder Tuba, was den Arrangements einen zusätzlichen Reiz verleiht. Der eigentliche Reiz aber besteht bei diesem Album in der Spannung, die Amos bei nahezu jedem Song aufbaut, manchmal etwas unterschwellig und dann wieder ganz deutlich wahrnehmbar. Die Melodien wirken teils recht dunkel und atmosphärisch geladen, doch die Sängerin und Pianistin Tori Amos lässt niemals Gewalt hervorbrechen.
