Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the duo's fourth album is another great chapter in the Vienna duo's storied career. Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber have long been masters of crafting eclectic downtempo and here they blend funk, lounge, smooth jazz and subtle electronics. This album is full of shifting moods, tempos and textures with playful confidence. Opening with the irresistible 'Rondo Acapricio', you get a glimpse of their talents in creating addictive music. The funky swagger of 'Damentag' remains another favourite, while the extended version of 'Pyjama' is a deep, hypnotic gem that rewards repeated listens. The brighter, more cheerful tone compared to earlier releases gives the album an open and inviting feel, The meticulous production, clever ornamentation and emotional undercurrents are here from start to finish. There's an almost improvisational flow here, but the craftsmanship ensures every detail counts. Not just a collection of songs, but a complete listening experience.
