Description
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
RARE original Specialty first pressing from 1988 on Elektra's black & red label with printed inner sleeve with complete lyrics!!! LP side two is VG+ with a few light paper scuffs and side one is VG++ with even fewer light scuffs. Cover is VG/VG+ with some light ring and corner wear. Includes the achingly beautiful Fast Car, a song that brings the sadness and quiet despair of every small town woman for whom the American dream is slowly slipping away into such sharp focus it's almost unbearable. No matter how many times I hear it I'm still reduced to tears when that snare drum cracks and the chorus swells. One of the absolute best songs in the entire history of recorded music in this collector's never humble opinion. You need this record.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF US VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
