A less-successful (but musically delicious!) follow-up disc by the “New York’s A Lonely Town” guys, PETE ANDERS and VINNIE PONCIA.
B-side, co-authored with legendary blues songwriter “DOC” POMUS, has never been reissued! It’s a superb re-creation of the doo-wop styles of about a decade prior to this disc’s 1965 release. This side has become a celebrated example of later white doo-wop at its finest! Here’s a sound sample of this very cool deck:
<="" span="">Disc is a strong EX-. Labels are sharp and clean. Vinyl is vibrant and dark; it needs a quick cleaning to remove some storage dust, but is clear and strong. It has a few isolated, light surface scuffs (most from its paper sleeve) that don’t cause noise on the disc. Fine-sounding record, as you can hear in the above, unaltered sound-sample!
