Description

I have been collecting records for decades and the time has come for some of them to find a new home. Most will be in excellent condition, some have been in my family for years and remain unplayed. I will grade them all fairly and listen to them before listing.

All of them will be professionally cleaned before being sent.

Please don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have any. Thanks very much for looking !

Up for auction here is a Uk first MONO pressing of the 1967 debut album by Traffic entitled Mr Fantasy. Released in the Uk on Island records?– ILP961. This is a first Uk pressing and is in very nice condition throughout

Matrix / Runout (A Side): ILP 961 A and ILP 961 B

The vinyl is visually in Excellent condition and has been well looked after. A few light superficial sleeve removal type marks visible under a strong light . The audio is also excellent and plays through very nicely without any skips or jumps. There is a bit of normal background crackle but overall it was a great listen and I would grade the audio as a solid Excellent.

The Labels are also in condition with a few light spindle marks . I would grade them as Excellent.

The Original gatefold sleeve has some light signs of wear along the top front edge but is still a nice example. I would grade it as a strong Very Good +. It is laminate on the outside, matt on the inside with flipbacks.

Overall a very nice copy of this classic debut Traffic lp.

I am happy to send worldwide. Customers who live outside the Uk and the EU please wait for an invoice before payment as postage rates are different.

I use Record Collector ratings to grade my vinyl. These are :

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
