Description
A great opportunity to buy a RARE VINYL LP from the 60's by Traffic called "Mr. Fantasy".
This is a U.K. pressing released in 1967 on the Island label (ILP 961)(MONO). It has a total of 10 tracks (see photos for track listings).
The matrix numbers are:- ILP 961 A (side 1) and ILP 961 B (side 2).
It appears to be a FIRST PRESSING.
The vinyl is in a clean and shiny VERY GOOD condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are many light surface marks evident, but nothing serious. I have played the whole of both sides and although there are some clicks and faint crackle evident between tracks, both sides play fine and sound great.
The labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects, though when tilted to the light, there are some spindle marks noticeable.
The record is perfectly flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed within its original poly-lined inner sleeve in a GOOD condition, with some creasing at the corners.
The laminated gatefold picture cover is in a VERY GOOD condition. The edges and spine are very strong and the text on the spine is clearly readable. There is some minor shelf wear along the bottom edge and at the corners. The is some lifting of the laminate on a small area close to the spine and some minor creasing on the front and in one corner on the back. Inside the gatefold, the right hand side has the internal flipbacks (confirming a 1st pressing), and both sides are clean and undamaged. The writing on the left-hand side is printed on and is standard to the pressing.
Overall it is a great example of what is a 47 year old rare and collectable Progressive / Psych Rock album and which should be of interest to avid collectors.
