Description
Grades are just a general guide, and I feel they are inadequate to describe the variety of unique conditions found, so please read the detailed description below. My records have all been stored unplayed for the last 25 years or so, under good indoors, smoke free conditions.
Collection in person receives a £3 discount.
Vinyl : This is a mono recording , and is designed to be played on equipment with a suitable setting- that only transfers the transverse needle movements into sound. Stereo equipment without a mono setting will also convert the vertical needle movement into sound, which is likely to appear as background noise. Unfortunately I only have the latter option ,and so I cannot tell how much of the considerable noise I hear on playing this is due to what ! Either way , I can enjoy listening to this LP, and the music comes through in all it's detail and quality. There are a couple of skips, however, which don't seriously affect play, but which you should know about before buying. Visually, I have to say- it looks like an insect's skating rink on both sides. The worst scratch is at the start of track 1 side 1, but amazingly there is no noticeable effect, although one of the aforementioned brief skips occurs just afterwards ( photos) ............................................................................
Sleeve: VG. Has worn well, but has a flimsy front flap which affects the overall look. A couple of cm of spine split at base ( see pics), etc..................................... ......................... ..
