Here's the most controversial Psych album by the incredible Peruvian band TRAFFIC SOUND.

This is incredibly rich music that just simply blew me away when i first heard it! There are so many sides to this band that it’s really hard to write about their music, sometimes it does remind me of groups such as soft machine, cresida and Traffic, sometimes it has a hard edge vocal and guitar similar to Black Sabbath, The sax and flute make you think of Gong, there’s also a recurring moog in the style of John Lord. Truly a musical mine gold here!!

This LP was recorded in 1971 and came out on Sono Radio SE-9362. This is the original Peruvian copy, which rates 3 discs in Hans Pokora’s Record collector Dreams.

Also in 1971, Traffic Sound gave its most memorable concert at the Teatro Segura. They were accompanied by Jaime Delgado Aparicio, who also wrote the arrangements, and the Contemporary Orchestra. The climax was the last song, “Mr. Skin”, that lasted thirty minutes, with a delirious audience that did not want the music to stop. Soon after, in 1972, most members of Traffic Sound choose to take non-musical careers.

Condition :

Cover : VG+ has considerable age wear, ring wear on the back, corner wear etc.. One name barely noticeable on the front. The inside of The gatefold is pretty much OK.

The Vinyl is sadly not in such a good condition. I rate it VG because it has numerous superficial marks, background noise throughout the LP and it does skip at certain points with some clicks and pops here and there. But it is worth it, believe me, one of the most refreshing LP’s i’ve heard in the last years. Highly recommended.
