Although not a proper Spencer Davis Group album, eight of the fourteen songs on the soundtrack to this 1968 British flick (a comedy/drama following the sexual exploits of teenager Jamie McGregor in the 'permissive society') were by the group (most done just after the departure of Stevie Winwood).
There were also three tunes from Traffic, and a nice orchestral-psychedelic oddity from Andy Ellison (lead singer of John's Children).
Heard in isolation from the movie, the album tends to highlight just how important Winwood was to the Spencer Davis Group, whose numbers are bright Carnaby-Street-Pop.
"Waltz for Caroline," which does feature Winwood, is an organ-dominated instrumental that is identical to the cut titled "Waltz for Lumumba" and "Picture of Her" is a ringer for the kind of songs Jack Bruce and Peter Brown wrote for Cream.
Stand-outs are Traffic's more soulful contributions, especially the title track.

Clean and unmarked with only light spindle rash - the embossed "KT' tax code is prominent and unworn
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT+
The vinyl surfaces still retain their deep glossy sheen with just a couple of light brush marks - these have no audio consequence
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Very sharp and bright MONO cut - high treble with little bass (on most of the tracks) which gives the sound a very clean, fresh feel.
My play-check at loud volume revealed no audio issues of note whatsoever - no scratches, no loud clicks or pops, no groove-wear or distortion and no surface noise - plays beautifully and cleanly throughout
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT
The original front laminated flipback sleeve is also in very nice condition.
The laminate has a nice deep gloss with just a little record impression and the back is clean with no damage to the flipbacks.
There is record impression/split to the laminate on the central top edge (but the sleeve is not split through at this point) otherwise, a fine example
