Plays VG+ to VG++
Very rare first single by California’s Travel Agency, who didn’t get an album deal until 2 years later on the Viva label. This early single is still their finest moment. “Time” is an INCREDIBLE mystical psych magic carpet ride heavily indebted to the Byrds circa 5D and YOUNGER THAN TODAY, and features a short but mesmerizing phased fuzz guitar solo. It gets in and out in 2 and a half minutes and not a single second is wasted. Flipside “Made For You” is nearly as good, a stomping bit of glimmering baroque popsike with unpredictable mood swings. Don’t get me wrong, their album ain’t bad. But this, my friends, is pure genius.
