Description
The records that I am currently selling came from the collection of a fellow who worked for many years in the pressing plant at Federal Records in Kingston. That makes for some unusual and interesting items. Many of the items are pre release and some of the lps came without sleeves, a few are 1 off color pressings.
Various Artists - GAY JAMAICA INDEPENDENCE TIME on original Treasure Isle label. Note that Fats Domino is at the table with The Duke & The Dutchess. The tracks are: Hopeton Lewis - Boom Sha-Ka-La; Hugh Roy- Wake The Town; Ethiopians - Condition Bad A Yard; Earl Lindo - White Rum; Wear You To The Ball;Alton Ellis - Peeping In; Tennors - Hopeful Village; High Roy - Rule The Nation; McCook - Dynamite; Hugh Roy - Catty; Alton Ellis - What Does It Take; Neville HInds - Sunday Gravy; All Stars - Verse Of The National Anthem. The A side vinyl is VG, the B side is G because of a scuff that spans the record, no skipping or jumping, just noise. The cover is VG with worn opening and 1 seam worn but not split.
