Excellent playing condition copy of this ***** legendary garage killer. One of the rarer Chicago area garage 45's, & definitely one of the best. Condition of the vinyl is minimally a solid VG+, with no discernible flaws affecting play, as a listen to the accompanying sound files will reveal. BTW absolutely NO sound filtering or editing was employed during the recording of these two tracks. It is 100% the way the discs plays. ZERO noise reduction of any kind was utilized.
Labels look a bit worse in the scan than they actually appear, and have a drill hole. I've included photo's of the labels / discs, in addition to scans, to provide a better sense of their condition. Though of course it's the vinyl that's the MAIN event here, and this copy definitely qualifies as a keeper. Terrifically vibrant gloss & shine are clearly evident on both sides, with no scratches, major scuffs, marks or anything of that nature affecting play. Minor wispy hairlines are visible when the disc is viewed directly under bright light. In daylight or indirect household light the vinyl could easily warrant a M- visual grade. Which is a fairly apt characterization of the play grade, which reveals the shuddering bass lines and deep crunching fuzz guitar riffs generating a sonic wallop fully the equal of any of the bands 1966 contemporaries. You Lied To Me Before is a genuine ***** classic 60's garage monster; high grade copies are only infrequently offered for sale.
