TRIBAL, FOLK & CAFE MUSIC OF WEST AFRICA - 3 BOOK SETS OF 78's IN BOX W/ PHOTOS

  • This is the original 1950 three volume, 12 -record 78 rpm set of Arthur S. Alberts' famous 1949 field recordings of obscure West African and Sudanese tribal music. This was issued in a limited edition of 2000 - this is no 54. The historic original reel -to-reel tape recordings now rest in the Library of Congress. This set comes in a case housing the three volumes with ten 7x9 black and white photographs.

  • Here are the details:

  1. The records are mostly in V+ condition and better although there are some scuffs and light scratches.

  2. The binders are in good shape with some scuffs ( there is very light tape on one of the books) The box is in good shape too with some scuffs. There is some writing on the sleeves

  3. With 12 78's, three books and a box, this weighs over 3.5 kgs and the shipping price to the US is $27.00. Rates other than to the US will be advised separately but will be in the region of $75 to $100.

  4. Full refund is given for any reason if goods are returned within 10 days of receipt
