Description
You are bidding on a brand new copy of the extremely rare 1984 St. Albans, England fanzine WALLY's DOG with its accompanying flexi by TRIXIE'S BIG RED MOTORBIKE and CLIVE PIG. The Trixie's track is That's The End Of That. CLIVE PIG's is As Soon As She's Gone. The 16-page fanzine which has a thin card cover includes input by MARINE GIRLS' and GRAB GRAB THE HADDOCK's Jane Fox, including a BIG interview with Trixie's. Trixie's were influential on CALVIN JOHNSON of Beat Happening and K RECORDS, and were a precursor to the C86 indiepop/ tweepop/ cutie movement, but quite a bit quirkier and more individual than many of the bands involved in that. The flexi was made by Lyntone and is on NATHAN RECORDS LYN 14024.
The 'zine and flexi package is a fascinating snapshot of independent music before the C86 explosion of flexidisc bands/labels - other fanzines mentioned in passing include ones by CREATION RECORDS founder Alan McGhee, and Aggi of THE PASTELS !
This is a guaranteed brand new unplayed copy - I have the very last remaining stock of this 27-year-old item !! Impossible to find in this condition otherwise !!!
