Description

A very 1st press of Electric Warrior on the UK Fly label from 1971. 'FLY 6' - Matrix A2U/B2U. Stampers 1-A/1-L... indicating that this LP was from around/within the first 2,000 ever pressed. Etchings 'Pecko Duck'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card Ernest J Day cover - these were the very 1st day of release covers. Please note '1st day of issue' copies do not show any publishing credit alterations to the track Jeepster[*]. Also included is the original inner sleeve, but unfortunately no poster.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In very nice condition and has clearly only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks and one feelable mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. The audio quality is absolutely top-level. Perfect reproduction by Mr.Peckham who once again has out done himself! Interference is generally minimal. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments i.e. very very little - this is a beautifully clean playing copy. There is one deviation from the given grading on 'Planet Queen' - a repeating light tick/click is audible during the track. Not an invasive pop, we are talking about a low-level tick which you have to concentrate on even to pick out. We are offering this LP to market, mark inclusive, because it really is not that far off a top-level copy. 
Cover (Ex-) In superb condition and it is rare for the 1st issue sleeve to turn up looking like this. The front is exhibiting a little handling wear, but nothing overtly obvious. The rear is in similar condition too - just some handling wear. There's a bit of edge wear in places, but nothing that significant. Text on the spine is mostly readable. A very nice specimen indeed.
Inner (Vg+) Slight ageing and one two inch split to one side seam.
