Description
TUBBY HAYES “JAZZ at the FLAMINGO” L.P. TEMPO TAP 5.
Recorded London , July 31 , 1956 . Label: Tempo.
Tubby Hayes (Tenor sax ), Ronnie Scott (Tenor Sax) Terry Shannon (Piano), Lennie Bush (Bass), Tony Crombie (Drums). Introduced by Tony Hall .
RARE ORIGINAL UK Tempo TAP 5 L.P.
***** Serious BIDDERS ONLY please. ******
PLEASE NOTE : This LP features TUBBY HAYES as a Guest Player and is not a Tubby Hayes album complete in its own right. However, it is still very scarce and captures Jeff Kruger’s ‘Jazz at the Flamingo’ for what it was – A magnificent JAM session with Tubby more than earning his stripes and sealing his (at the time)growing reputation. In other words....SUPERB STUFF !
Right, with that out of the way…...you know the drill…...start punching those keys, folks !
Condition of the RECORD -
- EXCELLENT. As far as I can see it is MINT but always hesitate to use that description. There are a very few light thumb marks on the run-in grooves but NOT on the VINYL. I have not played the record at all and it has always been safely stored. It comes in its original soft plastic lined paper inner which again is in excellent condition . (Please see the photos).
Condition of the COVER -
- EXCELLENT. There is very slight 'ring-wear' from the vinyl .
- There are a few very light creases ( and I do mean 'light') near the front cover’s opening. The laminated cover is still superb and has only light surface marks that are hardly visible. There is a light sticker mark (removed ?) but again will clean up very easily. (Please see the photos).
Side A :
- A Night in Tunisia
- Stars Fell on Alabama
- Once In A While
- Soho Blues
Side B:
- Annie-Mation
- Autumn Leaves
- Laker’s Day
Engineers : Bert Steffens / Ken Wilkinson Supervision: Tony Hall, Raymond Horrocks
PLEASE NOTE: FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY used for Pictures hence some 'white spot' and or glare in photos only - sleeve is UNBLEMISHED and as described above.
I have never played this lp and therefore have listed it as unplayed. There are NO visible scratches or marks that I can see and it is in the describe condition above.
