 ***** WELCOME TO ALLHART99 RECORDS ***** Rare, long out-of-print and (so far) still under-the-radar, this unknown Canadian obscurity has the Hambleton brothers (Greg & Fergus) and A Passing Fancy involvement all over the production of this little gem ! 

 

Tuesday’s Children was an obscure offshoot LP featuring instrumental tracks from the equally-obscure 1968 psychedelic-pop Suzanne sessions (“Suzanne”, Birchmount BM-001).

 

* This album features some songs that were not included on that "Suzanne" LP,  and it also includes a few tidbits from the A Passing Fancy Canadian 1968 self-titled psych rarity (Boo Records, BST-6801) like the instrumental take of their "I Believe In Sunshine" (also a hit for Madrigal) and a rare Greg Hambleton penned outtake from those famed A Passing Fancy sessions, "You Try".

 

A few of the nicest gems here include the instrumental "You Try " (with Suzanne’s leaked voice floating in like a spirit),  the striking medley "Spooky / Going out of my head" .....and the standout Hammond-drenched cover of the Beatles' "Hey Jude" (with some sweet distorted fuzz guitar).

A Passing Fancy’s "I Believe In Sunshine" appears here in an almost prototypical form.......a real treat with it's parlor piano banging vibe !

 

Aside from the unique cover material, the music here is arranged and performed by Greg Hambleton (Fergus’s  brother) and (uncredited) members of A Passing Fancy (one of Canada’s most revered 1960's psychedelic pop-rock bands).
