Alternative Tentacles Records - Virus 87 (UK 1991)
Extremely rare, possibly unique item, with the tracks from the TAKE ME BACK OR I'LL DROWN OUR DOG and MEATHOOK UP MY RECTUM SINGLES.
The story: Back in the early '90s, I visited the Alternative Tentacles office/warehouse when they had one in Mountgrove Road, London. They shared the building with AK Press at the time, Tentacles downstairs and AK on the top floor.
I bought some records from them and noticed a large pile of vinyl without sleeves, stacked up by the door. On asking about them, I was told that they were pressings of the Tumor Circus LP with extra tracks, but they weren't to be sold, they were all going to be destroyed. I asked if I could have one and they sold me a copy. As far as I know, I have the only surviving copy. Never seen another one. Never spoken to anyone who has one.
The extra tracks are from the Meathook Up My Rectum single and the Take Me Back Or I'll Drown Our Dog single.
It was sold to me with no sleeve, just as it is here. The centre labels are identical to the regular press version, i.e. the extra tracks are not listed. The matrices are:
