Description: mega-rare original UK pressing 7" single in pic sleeve.
English punk/post-punk quartet formed in Whitechapel, London in March 1978. This
was their first E.P. released on their own ZIP (Zonerz In Plastic) label. There were 45
different cover designs for the limited pressing of 1000. Each one was individually
numbered by the band and this copy is signed "9/35" which I assume means No.9 of
cover design 35. The photocopied sleeve is a wrap around DIY-type which the
band glued at the back to a plain inner white sleeve before sealing each one with
sellotape top and bottom! With the passing of the years the tape has peeled off
leaving a stain, hence I've only graded it good, although a better copy would be
hard to find. The band released a follow-up single 'Brighton Rock B/w Diversion'
in early-1980 before disappearing without trace. I've only ever seen one other copy
of this single with a different sleeve on the German eBay site - this may well be the
first one ever on eBay UK!!!
