  First press 1968 black and blue label copy of this very rare album (orange label copies are represses) It was released in June 1968 and didn’t sell well at the time, which is why it’s so hard to find now-especially in fine condition. It’s since been recognized for what it is. For example, MOJO magazine's 2004 Special Edition on Psychedelia listed Once Upon a Twilight as one of the great unheralded World Psych albums.  The reasons they give include firstly the quality of the songs, with nearly all having been written by the band's resident musical genius, guitarist Terry Britten. Secondly, under the guidance of producer David MacKay, the band recorded the album as a complete work, so that even today it displays a unity of purpose and holistic purity not generally achieved elsewhere. Thirdly, the sound of the album boasts all the trappings of period psychedelia, with all manner of studio trickery from echoed harmonies and gentle phasing to vocals fed through rotating Leslie cabinets. Condition –wise, the (b) side is M- and the other is EX+. There are no sound problems. The labels are EX+  Gatefold pop up cover is intact and in stunning condition with no marks stains etc. It works perfectly. Front cover has no problems and is EX+. The back has a little faded name stamp at top right (see scan) and I guess it’s just a little lower at EX

 A genuinely rare magnificent Australian masterpiece. Very few of these around and they only come up for sale occasionally- especially in superb condition as this one is. Don’t miss out

CONDITION WISE:

 MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras in perfect condition.

MINT MINUS (NM) : Few signs of being played, no deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras in superb condition.                                                                

EXCELLENT: Some signs of having been played, eg. superficial minor marks such as feathers. Possible minor deterioration of sound quality. Cover, label, extras are in fine condition.                                                                             

VERY GOOD: Played quite a few times. Perhaps feel-able marks. Some deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras show moderate amount of wear and tear.       

VERY GOOD - (Minus) : Further deterioration in sound quality. Considerable wear and tear to cover and it's contents but record should play without skipping, repeats etc.                                              

GOOD: Just playable. Considerable sound problems. Heavy scratches. Needle may jump. Cover has serious problems eg defaced, staining,missing pieces etc.
