Description
Own a genuine piece of 1960's Brit pop history!!!
Up for sale is Twinkle's very own silver disc presentation award
for the 1964 hit single Terry. I bought this from her personally
a few years ago, and it's 100% genuine. This is a one off piece
of great pop memorabillia from the 60's.
The disc is encased in a fully glazed wooden frame,
and is mounted on a black leatherette backing board
with gold embossed design around it. The inscription on the
disc reads 'Awarded to Twinkle - for her DECCA recording of Terry.
Presented by DISC is printed below the record.
This will come with a copy of a handwritten letter from Twinkle
to prove authenticity. The casing measures 12 1/2'' x 14'', and can
be displayed either by hanging or free standing. The disc has some
very slight tarnish on the label - but hey - this is 44 years old!
All in all - in very good condition for it's age.
This song had the distinction of being banned by the BBC, has
Jimmy Page playing on the session, and was the template for
The Shangri Las's Leader Of The Pack...
