So, so hard to find, this British Psych classic.  Especially with the original insert that is most often missing! All pre-T REX albums are extremely scarce. Please mark that this is not a mint copy but plays through entirely and is still an enjoyable original!!

THIS  VINYL PLAYS  ALL THE WAY THROUGH BOTH SIDES. 

THE STEREO REPRODUCTION IS SUPERB AND EVERY NOTE IS HEARD CLEARLY AND CRISPLY WITHOUT DISTORTION. THERE IS SOME STATIC IN THE BEGINNING OF EACH SIDE BUT THIS SUBSIDES AFTER ABOUT ") SECONDS AND LEAVES A LOVELY CLEAR CRISP SOUND. THERE ARE NO SKIPS, STICKS OR JUMPS. 

A Beard of Stars is the fourth album by Tyrannosaurus Rex, comprising Marc Bolan (vocals, guitar, organ, bass) and the first with new partner Mickey Finn (percussion). It was released in March 1970. It is notable for being the first album on which Bolan used electric guitars (although sparingly).

Four tracks from this album, including Great Horse were salvaged from Spring 1969 sessions for a fourth album with original percussionist Steve Peregrin Took in the wake of King of the Rumbling Spires. These four tracks were overdubbed for release by Finn, Bolan and Visconti. A further four tracks from the Took sessions – rejected for the final album – would subsequently surface on various compilations – three (Once Upon The Seas of Abysinnia, Blessed Wild Apple Girl, Demon Queen) in Bolan's lifetime, the fourth (Ill Starred Man) posthumously.

SO HARD TO FIND THIS FOURTH TYRANNOSAURUS REX ALBUM .IT IS VERY HARD THESE DAYS TO STILL FIND THIS GEM IN ANY CONDITION AT ALL. MOST ARE NOW IN COLLECTIONS AND THIS WON'T BE FOUND BEFORE LONG. IT ILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE THIS TURNS UP AGAIN CONDITION WITH AGAIN MORE TAKERS THAN EVER BEFORE. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT INVESTMENT PIECE.

Vinyl: VG++.  This has been enjoyed and there are light hairlines on each side. This plays through comfortably and the sound is clear and defined.  I was  tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this again, it is indeed mega rare now. Needless to say NO jumps, clicks or sticks. 

Sleeve: VG++.  Fully laminated with a few tiny underlaminate creases (see pic). The edges are sharp and the spine is fully legible. Light corner wear.

Insert: EX.

                                                 The labels are fine  with  visible spindle traces. 

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
