Description

For sale is Talvin Singh Presents Anokha,Sounds of the Asian Underground, originally released in 1997 by Mango Records in a deluxe double album set. This release was made in England and comes with the original inner sleeves. In the dead wax between the label and the last track is etched "The Exchange-Nilz" followed by This indicates that these records were mastered by Nilesh Patel at The Exchange, London, know for his engineering prowess at getting superb sounds from the mastering process. I bought this record new, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 and immediately put these discs into MFSL archival inner sleeves. I always put my new records directly into a protective inner sleeve(s), thus preserving the integrity of the vinyl and any original insert(s) or inner sleeve(s) that may have come with the release.  The inner sleeves are Near Mint. The vinyl is graded as VG+ because of slight sleeve marks that produce an occasional tick (I counted two on disc one) and surface noise sometimes noticeable during the quiet passages. Still a beautiful recording. The cover is graded as VG+ because of stress cracks around the spine and edges as well as corner blunts and rubs. The spine has color loss from these cracks and rubs. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment and still has a lot of life yet. This is still the best copy of this record that I have ever seen or heard. This is so rare that I believe you will never find this record in this condition ever again. This would make a great addition to a anyone's collection.  I have a lot more albums of all different genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're almost all Near Mint. Thanks for looking at my listing.    I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
